The terrain is now changing from rice paddies and orange groves to coniferous plants as we get higher and the air is thinner and the soil less productive. Nowhere near as lush but still scenic. I made it to Dharapani first and showered and washed my clothes while the others caught up. When the girls arrived last there was a bit of an argument between them and Alvie.
Apparently they'd met some trekkers who were staying for free and just paying for their food. This upset the girls and they took it out on Alvie. Alvie though pulled his trump card of "Well, if you don't like it I'll just go and you can look after yourselves". Great.
Eventually, everyone kissed and made up although we did sleep under a bit of a cloud.....
